Musical Futures at Banovallum School
  • Four years implementing Musical Futures approaches
  • A two-year KS3 covers all aspects of the National Curriculum and is underpinned by the Musical Futures ethos
  • In Years 7 and 8, Band Instrumental work, Informal Learning and Informal Composing are the main focus of the curriculum
  • In Year 9, students develop their skills in preparation for BTEC First Diploma in Year 10/11. Elements of Non-formal teaching and Informal Learning are integrated into the curriculum
  • Extra curricular opportunities include taiko drumming
