Musical Futures at Cramlington
- One year implementing Musical Futures approaches
- Yr 7 and 8 enquiry based projects complement the Musical Futures ethos
- Year 9: Informal Learning Model, tailored towards students' needs
- A cover-versions unit has also been developed. Students undertake enquiry-based research into a genre of their choice, performing and recording their song
- Having used the Musical Futures resource pack as a starting point, the school is now looking to expand the MF ethos into KS4 and beyond.
Why Musical Futures?
“The Musical Futures ethos of informal learning sits comfortably alongside the school ethos of developing independent learners through an enquiry-based curriculum with a blend of pedagogical approaches.”
