The 'Band Instrumental Skills' project is designed to equip students with basic instrumental, ensemble and listening skills, as well as an understanding of musical structure and of the learning process of 'real' musicians.
This requires you to establish a carousel of lessons, in which students have one session on each instrument learning the parts of a popular song, and to then ‘talent spot’ students into bands where they put the instrumental parts together to create their own cover version.
This project is structured into two sections:
1) Band carousel sessions
2) Band workAudio resources are provided here, although we would strongly advise you to consider developing your own as well.
