An introduction to the informal learning model, offering practical advice and guidance for implementing informal learning in the music classroom.
The informal learning in the music classroom model aims to enhance student motivation, enjoyment and skill-acquisition in music lessons by tapping into the real-life learning practices of popular musicians. It is designed particularly with the Year 9 age group in mind, however the informal learning model has successfully been adapted for Year 8, and even Year 7 and Year 10/11 students.
