Musical Futures in Hertforshire
Musical Futures in Hertfordshire is a partnership project between Hertfordshire Music Service and the Institute of Education, University of London with additional support from the Department of Education and Skills Innovations Unit. The classroom strategies derive from Professor Lucy Green's research into how popular musicians learn and how their learning approaches can be adapted for the classroom.

Welcome
A simple but effective idea. Hertfordshire produced a hyperlinked guide to what's where on the Hertfordshire Musical Futures site. This enables their students to quickly and easily find what they want - when they want.

MF Song tree
You don't need to be a great player or a singer to write songs in a band, you just need to work well together, supporting each other and giving everyone a chance to be heard . The Rock Project song-writing team trained Music Service staff to train school bands to train year 9 bands. This resulted in over 40 high quality songs being produced which you can listen to on this site.
